What a fun day! Happy Birthday to your mom! How old is she today?
It sounds like she had quite a nice birthday!

MY day was normal, designing quilt panels and rainy and a little cold.

She turned 67 and my niece will be 11 next Monday. We all had a pretty good time.

Tommy, we marched in the parade because my mom is a member of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) which is a group of women who are descendants of Revolutionary War veterans. We are descended from at least two R.W. veterans. Local members of DAR and their families march in the parade every year and we've done it the last two years.

We had the rain from hell yesterday and my two loft rooms off the 2nd floor patio flooded. It wasn't a disaster or anything because the floors are tile and wash or wear more or less. It made me think of the hurricane people though and I'll never understand why more people didn't leave ahead of time.

Anyway, today is sunny and beautiful...oh yea, my shop flooded too but there wasn't any permanent damage.
