It depends on the season. A lot of the seasons I've watched so far are shorter seasons, often 13 episodes or less. Hex Season 1 was 5 episodes and about 5 hours total. Newsradio and Spaced were 7 episodes and just under 3 hours total. I've started watching some of the half hour shows on my computer while I work and do other things.

Doctor Who was 13-14 episodes at about 45 minutes per episode. I watched 3-4 episodes per day for four days. The longest series I watched was season 1 of The Paper Chase which clocked in at over 17 hours and took a week or so to watch.

Here is the complete list so far:

1 - Red Dwarf Season II - 1/1 - 6 episodes (3 hr)
2 - Red Dwarf Season III - 1/1 - 6 episodes (3 hr)

lol that's a lot. Ali and I started watching a few episodes of tv shows on DVD. We started with Scrubs, then I moved onto The Office, which she had no interest in. We are making a list of tv series we want to start watching and just pick them up as we go. We really could Netflix them, but I don't know if I want to tie up my queue with tv series.

It'll get pretty pricey buying them though.

The majority of these are ones that I own on dvd. I did check 9 of the sets out of the library to watch and others that are not available on dvd (like Max Headroom and a number of Australian shows), I downloaded from usenet to watch.

53 - (TV) - Father Ted: Series 2 - This season was hilarious. I enjoyed it a lot more consistently than series 1. The Eurovision contest, the calls to Father Larry, etc. Funny stuff.

54,55 - (TV) - Sliders Seasons 1 and 2 - I loved this show when it first aired. I thought it went downhill midway through season 3, but the first two seasons were great. Sliding to parallel earths is a pretty cool concept. I especially loved the Mindgame show on the one earth where smart people competed in a live action board game/trivia show.

56 - (TV) - Doctor Who: Series 3 - More adventures through time and space with The Doctor. I'm really enjoying this show and liked Martha Jones as the Doctor's companion, probably even more than Rose Tyler. I didn't really like Catherine Tate in The Runaway Bride, though.

57 - (TV) - Father Ted: Series 3 - The show wraps up with another entertaining season with plenty of laughs. It is such a shame that Dermot Morgan died the day after filming ended on the series.

58 - (TV) - The Adventures of Pete and Pete Season 1 - I watched a few episodes of this show on Nickelodeon when it first aired. I think it is still a fun show. I was surprised to see a very young Michelle Trachtenberg on the show, though.

BBC America airs it on Saturday nights, though it is a couple of weeks behind the UK.

60 - (TV) - Barney Miller Season 2 - I loved this show as a kid and still find it to be very good today. A nice low key police comedy show set in the 15th Precinct in New York. I did find Wojo's almost constant gum chewing a bit annoying, but less so as the season progressed and I got used to it. I had forgotten that part of his character.

61 - (TV) - Flight 29 Down Series 2 - The junior version of Lost continues. I thought the second season was better than the first, though the first wasn't bad.

I'm halfway through season 3 and plan to watch the whole series over the next month or so, except for season 1 which I warched on dvd a while ago.
