I saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith which underwhelmed me, Bewitched which underwhelmed me even more if it's possible, and The Kingdom of Heaven which I thought was really really good , andAlexander which was better than I had been led to believe.

I'm coming to the conclusion that if you go into watching a film with bad expectations they seem better than they would if you had heard greast things.

I haven't seen Crash but now I want to.

I watched Lion King and Shrek 2 on dvd today. Lion King was fun, but not as enjoyable as when I first saw it in the theaters. Shrek 2 was still great, though, and I love the soundtrack. I think they are doing work on both Shrek 3 and Shrek 4 according to something I read last year.

I watched Porco Rosso tonight. It was good, but not as good as Miyazaki's other films.

I really liked that movie - we bought it as soon as it came out on DVD.

I watched Cry Wolf, I though it was stupid and a waste of my time.

I thought Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was good, but I liked the original Willy Wonka movie with Gene Wilder better.

Gene Wilder - It says Gene Wilder. Quit changing my quotes

But think of what a different movie it would have been with Hackman in it ala his Lex Luthor performance.

I watched The Cat Returns from Studio Ghibli. It wasn't directed by Miyazaki, but it was still very good. I've never seen a Studio Ghibli film that I didn't like. Watching the Making Of special feature makes me want to see Whispering Heart, though I don't think that's out in English yet.
