The deform tool is used to warp your image, it can warp in different ways and both PSP and Photoshop have different types of deform tools

here is PSP choices in the type of deform tool

Image

these are the Photoshop deform tool options
edit>transform menu

Image

for this i will use PSP's main deform tool to show you how to use it

once you have an image to modify (you may have to have the image you want to modify in another layer)
clcik the tool you should have a box that shows up around the image, like this

Image

in that image you will see a bunch of little boxes (one at each corner, one between each of those, and 2 in the middle area) these are the boxes that you will grab to modify the image. when you scroll over the box the mouse pointer will change. if you scroll over the top right corner you will get a box, this icon is trying to show you that you will move the image in that way (you will be moving the top side and right side) this modification can change if you hold down "ctrl" or "shift"

when you hold down cntl the icon becomes a pyramid shape, this means you will move the sides away (or towards)from each other like this

Image

now if you hold down shift it becomes a trapazoid and you can move it like this

Image

see how it only changed the one side instead of both sides equally?

now the center squares. if you grab the very center square it will move the image around, that is pretty self explanatory if you try it, the small square to the right of that is used to rotate the image so you can do things like this
